Gilda’s Club New York City will hold its Annual Benefit Gala Celebrating Our Family – 15 Years of Cancer Support, on Thursday, November 18, 2010. We invite you to join us for a very special evening commemorating “Our Family” in recognition of all the individuals, corporations, and foundations that have supported us over the years and helped us to grow our program throughout New York City.

 

In NYC, over 34,000 people are diagnosed with cancer each year. GCNYC has served over 6,000 members but there still remains a large group of individuals who would benefit from our services. Our mission is to create welcoming communities of free support for everyone living with cancer - men, women, teens and children – along with their families and friends. Our innovative program is an essential complement to medical care, providing networking and support groups, workshops, lectures and social activities, all free of charge. Throughout our fifteen years we have accomplished what few other non-profits have – we have created a family and a home for our members, one where they share their hopes and fears, their sadness and joy. Your participation in our gala allows us to continue this important work and continue to offer support at no cost to our members.
