Individual Volunteers

Volunteers are the core of Red Door Community and we would not be able to offer our free program to cancer patients and their families without the time, energy, and commitment of our volunteers.

Red Door Community offers a range of opportunities for individuals to volunteer, from an afternoon to an ongoing basis. Help support our organization while meeting new people and being one of 300 volunteers who last year provided more than 3,465 hours of service – the equivalent of $81,565 in savings.

Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years old or older to volunteer at Red Door Community
  • Complete and submit an application
  • Attend a volunteer orientation
  • Volunteers working with children may be required to undergo a background check

Examples of volunteer opportunities with Red Door Community:

Administration – Assist with mailings, data entry, event preparation, or other projects at our Clubhouse.

Workshop Facilitator – Share your expertise in either stress-reduction, creative expression, or body movement with our members.

Noogieland – Support our weekly program for children ages 5-12 (opportunities are limited and require a background check).

Outreach – Spread the word about Red Door Community  at health fairs or other events.

Special Events – Assist at any of our fundraising events including our Spring Benefit Luncheon, The Gildie’s hosted by the Associate Board of Gilda’s Club, the Annual Benefit Gala, or any member event at the Clubhouse.
