For anyone who has seen our PSA videos, available on our website and YouTube channel, you will have seen Lisa D’Apolito’s work. Red Door Community has been a pro bono client of Lisa’s since 2010 and it is through her work with our members that inspired her to learn more about Gilda Radner and subsequently produce the documentary film, Love, Gilda.
Love,Gilda was the feature film to open the 2018 Tribeca Film Festival and premiered at The Beacon Theater on April 18th to outstanding reviews.
The film uses rare personal recordings and journal entries to tell Gilda’s story in her own words. It also features newly uncovered audio diaries and journal entries that reveal a woman struggling with success, fame, relationships, and a battle with ovarian cancer that echoes one of her most famous lines – It’s always something.
We’re so thrilled that Gilda’s story could come to big screen and keep her legacy strong.
Lisa is an accomplished director/producer for 22 years and a trailblazer in her own right with her own company 3Faces Film.
