Red Door Community is pleased to announce a new partnership with NYCTutoring.com to provide translation services for a selection of our program materials. Our members reflect the diversity of New York – 53% of the Red Door Community population represents minority groups and 40% are from medically underserved ethnic communities (29% are Latino, 21% are Black) all living with specific types of cancer and/or loss. We are proud to offer our free support program in both English and Spanish, the partnership with NYCTutoring.com will allow for deeper impact within our Latino community.
Since going virtual, translation has been an essential and often prohibitively expensive process, but thanks to this program we are able to access high level translation services at no cost thanks to their generous donation of time. The partnership with NYCTutoring.com will provide our clinical staff a great deal of support in continuing to provide our free cancer support program.
Traditionally, NYCTutoring.com provides customized tutoring in a variety of topics and throughout the New York City Metropolitan area but since the COVID-19 pandemic began they have pivoted to helping various non-profit organizations in need of translation services to further increase impact during these challenging times.
